Colts sign LB Chris Covington to the practice squad

The Indianapolis Colts signed linebacker Chris Covington to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

An Indiana product, Covington joins the practice squad after previously working out for the team in October. At 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, Covington was a sixth-round pick with the Dallas Cowboys in the 2018 NFL draft.

Covington joins the practice squad after the Colts placed rookie linebacker Jordan Glasgow on the reserve/COVID-19 list, a move that happened just hours before Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Covington has appeared in eight career games in the NFL, recording three tackles.
