Colts sign DT Johnny Robinson

The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive tackle Johnny Robinson and waived running back James Williams, the team announced Thursday.

Robinson was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived at the end of May following a few weeks with the team.

In 42 career games at Charleston Southern, Robinson recorded 123 tackles (52 solo), 23.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, two passes defended and two forced fumbles.

Even though the Colts backfield is thin with injuries, Williams was waived. It could potentially mean one of the injured backs is close to returning.
