Colts sign DE Dadi Nicolas, place Spencer Ware on Reserve PUP

The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive end Dadi Nicolas and placed running back Spencer Ware on the reserve/PUP list, the team announced Friday.

This would explain why the Colts were looking at free agent running backs Mike Gillislee and Akeem Hunt. With Ware on the reserve/PUP list now due to a core muscle injury, the Colts are keeping an eye on the running back market.

The running back room currently is comprised of Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins and Keith Ford.

Nicolas was waived on July 24 when the Colts signed running back Aca’Cedric Ware, who was waived a few days ago from the active roster.
