Colts sign 3 free agents, place WR Daurice Fountain on IR

The Indianapolis Colts signed safety Kai Nacua and running backs Charcandrick West and Marquis Young, the team announced Monday.

In corresponding moves, the Colts placed wide receiver Daurice Fountain and running back D’Onta Foreman on the injured reserve list and waived safety Derrick Kindred.

Nacua originally signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He has also spent time with the Baltimore Ravens (2018) and the Carolina Panthers (2019). In 16 career games (three starts), Nacua has recorded 13 tackles (11 solo) and one tackle for loss.

West was an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014 where he has spent his whole career. In 52 career games, West has 268 carries for 998 yards and seven touchdowns while also recording 77 receptions for 589 yards and six receiving touchdowns.

Young attended the Colts’ rookie minicamp this offseason on a tryout basis. He attended Massachusetts in college, playing in 47 games while recording 685 carries for 3,631 yards and 29 touchdowns.
