Colts set to begin final week of OTAs

The Indianapolis Colts will officially begin the third and final week of organized team activities Monday marking another step closer to breaking for summer.

In this final week of OTAs, the Colts have four practice sessions with one more being open to the media (Tuesday). Then, they will have a three-day mandatory minicamp on June 11.

Here’s a look at the remaining workout days for the spring schedule:

  • OTAs: June 3-6
  • Veteran Minicamp: June 11-13

The Colts have just two more weeks worth of workouts until the team breaks for summer, which will be roughly a month and a half. The return date for training camp isn’t official yet, but they are likely to start filling in around July 25.

There hasn’t been much to go off of for OTAs this year. The biggest news has come in the form of a minor calf strain for quarterback Andrew Luck and a minor heated exchange between quarterback Jacoby Brissett and wide receiver Devin Funchess.

These next two weeks will be relatively important for those battling for roles at their respective positions. Training camp and the preseason is where the depth chart is carved, but getting a head start in the spring helps.

The Colts begin the final week of OTAs on Monday, which is just another step in the direction of watching football on Sundays.
