Colts select OT Jackson Barton with No. 240 pick in 2019 NFL Draft

The Indianapolis Colts selected former Utah offensive tackle Jackson Barton with the No. 240 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Colts emphasized adding depth and athleticism to the defensive side of the ball on Day 3. They add to the offensive line with one of their seventh-round picks.

Jackson (6’7, 310) has the size to stay on the edge to go along with his 34-inch arms. He’s a project that needs to work on his technique and pad level, but the Colts had a need to add some depth.

Jackson joins an offensive tackle room that includes Anthony Castonzo, Braden Smith, Le-Raven Clark, Joe Haeg and J’Marcus Webb. He was the starting left tackle for Utah.

The Colts have one more selection at No. 246 overall after adding an extra pick in a trade that sent defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway to the Philadelphia Eagles.
