Colts’ Ryan Kelly ruled OUT vs. Patriots in Week 15

Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly has been downgraded from “questionable” to “out” for the Week 15 matchup against the New England Patriots, the team announced Saturday.

Kelly popped up on the injury report this week with a knee/illness and returned to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday. However, Kelly was a “DNP” on Thursday due to a personal matter.

While head coach Frank Reich said he anticipates everything being fine with Kelly’s status, it appears that isn’t the case. The assumption is that Kelly will miss the game due to the personal matter but that isn’t fully clear given the fact that the Colts still listed Kelly with a knee/illness on the injury report.

If it is a personal matter that causes Kelly to miss the game, we hope everything is okay in that regard.

With Kelly being ruled out for Saturday night’s game, the Colts will again turn to second-year lineman Danny Pinter, who stepped in for Kelly in Week 13 against the Houston Texans when the latter was out due to a positive COVID-19 test.

The Colts and Patriots are set for a kickoff time of 8:15 p.m. ET with the inactives being released an hour and a half before kickoff.
