Colts’ Ross Travis to make $720K in 2019

The Indianapolis Colts re-signed tight end Ross Travis to a contract extension Tuesday and some of the details have come out, including how much Travis is expected to make in 2019.

As a restricted free agent, Travis signed a one-year deal worth $720,000 for the 2019 season, which is the league minimum, per Joel A. Erickson of Indy Star.

Travis is expected to battle for a spot on the 53-man roster. The Colts have expressed interest in his talents and athletic ability since they claimed him off waivers toward the end of the 2017 season.

The 26-year-old tight end was on his way to making the roster in 2018 before he suffered a torn ACL during the final preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Travis spent the entire 2018 season on the injured reserve list.
