Colts rise high in power rankings after win over Raiders

The Indianapolis Colts (9-4) have their sights set on a playoff spot with three games remaining on the regular-season schedule and as it comes to a close, Indy is rising high in the power rankings.

They’ve been sitting comfortably inside the top-10 for the better part of the season but after their 44-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14, the Colts are sitting at the No. 4 spot in Touchdown Wire’s power rankings.

Of course, there is still the slight matter of the division title. As we argued last week, given the schedules both the Colts and the Tennessee Titans face in the final three weeks you might give the edge to the Titans. It could come down to Week 16, when the Titans play the Green Bay Packers and the Colts take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Which team would you rather face right now?

The Colts and Titans are holding steady at the top of the division. Both are 9-4 while the Titans hold the tiebreaker over the Colts due to their superior divisional record. They split the season series 1-1.

The Colts are also sitting with the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoff picture entering Week 15. They have a chance to move up to No. 4 if they wind up with a better record than the Titans, and they could move up to No. 5 if they have a better record than the Browns—both teams hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.

With three games remaining, the Colts certainly have an exciting month awaiting them, and they are being viewed in a very respectable light in the power rankings.
