Colts remove WR T.Y. Hilton from NFI list

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been removed from the active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) list, the team announced Wednesday.

Hilton went on the NFI list when the team returned for training camp as it was revealed he suffered a hamstring injury while working out on his own. Because he was away from the team when it happened, it is considered a “non-football injury.”

Had he suffered the injury while practicing with the team, he would have gone on the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP).

With Hilton back in the fold, it will be essential that he doesn’t suffer a setback. Soft tissue injuries at this time of year can be difficult to come back from if a player is rushed to return.

However, Hilton told reporters last week that the team wouldn’t be rushing him back despite training camp hitting its ramp-up period.

Hilton’s return is great for the offense and the 30-year-old will be looking to bounce back in 2020 with a new quarterback under center.
