Colts remain 2.5-point underdogs vs. Seahawks in Week 1

The Indianapolis Colts will head into the weekend holding the same role as underdogs against the Seattle Seahawks for the Week 1 opener at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Opening the week as 2.5-point underdogs, nothing has changed about the spread as of Friday. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Colts will remain slight underdogs at home while the total for the matchup still sits at 49.5 points.

The money line has shifted slightly the Colts’ way (+105), but the Seahawks (-122) are still favored. The experts around the league are choosing the Seahawks with high confidence.

This matchup should be close. The explosive offense for the Seahawks will be a tough challenge for the Colts defense. With D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, the Colts could find trouble containing them with their zone-heavy scheme. The fact that cornerback Xavier Rhodes may miss the game is concerning as well.

All eyes will be on Carson Wentz, who is expected to make his debut for the Colts. After missing most of training camp and the entire preseason due to foot surgery, Wentz is seemingly ready to go.
