Colts release unofficial depth chart for Week 4

The Indianapolis Colts (2-1) released their unofficial depth chart Tuesday ahead of the Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams (1-2).

The term “unofficial” should be taken to heart here as the pecking order could change on a whim. Still, we’re here to take a look at the depth chart going into the divisional matchup against the Texans.

Here’s a look at the unofficial Week 4 depth chart for the Colts:

Offense

Notes

  • Roster Changes: The Colts added RB Trey Sermon from the practice squad and released RB Deon Jackson.
  • Sermon saw 21% of the snaps and five carries as the backup to Zack Moss, who once again dominated the backfield split in Week 3.
  • When G Will Fries left the game in Week 3 due to cramps, Josh Sills filled in for him at right guard.
  • Despite being listed as the starter, TE Mo Alie-Cox was out-snapped by Drew Ogletree for the first time in Week 3.
  • C Wesley French and QB Gardner Minshew would once again fill in for C Ryan Kelly and QB Anthony Richardson, respectively, if the latter players miss Week 4.

Defense

Notes

  • Roster Changes: None from the previous week.
  • Rookie CB Julius Brents officially is listed as a starter over Darrell Baker Jr. after making his debut in Week 3.
  • Rookie DL Adetomiwa Adebawore has yet to make his NFL debut.
  • The same goes for rookie LB/DE Isaiah Land, who has been a healthy scratch every game since the Colts claimed him off waivers after roster cuts.

Specialists

Notes

  • Roster Changes: None from the previous week.
  • Despite CB Dallis Flowers not fielding a punt yet this season, he’s still listed as the starting punt returner. That role still belongs to Isaiah McKenzie.
