It is officially game week as the Indianapolis Colts prepare for a road trip against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, and the former has released the first depth chart of the 2019 season.
Though it is unofficial, this gives us an organized look at the Colts’ roster on both sides of the ball and on special teams. Here’s a look at the first depth chart of the 2019 season:

Observations:
Brian Hoyer is officially listed as QB2 after signing a three-year deal with the Colts on Monday.
Deon Cain is currently listed as the WR3 behind T.Y. Hilton and Devin Funchess.
The Colts kept only eight offensive linemen due to necessary depth at other spots. This is why Clark and Haeg are listed as backups at two positions.

Observations:
Not many changes here. Lewis moves to the three-technique after being listed as the starting nose tackle for the entire preseason.
The Colts kept 10 defensive linemen, which should employ a heavy rotation throughout a deep group.
The cornerback room has been solidified since the start of the preseason but now features a new name in Lewis, who was claimed on Sunday.
The safety room initially had five players in it but with the addition of Hoyer, the Colts now have four.

Observations:
No surprises here. The big three in Sanchez, Vinatieri and Rhodes reprise their roles.
Pascal’s work as a return man and on special teams in general helped him solidify a roster spot.
Same goes for Rogers, who is the team’s starting punt returner.
