The Indianapolis Colts reached injury settlements with wide receiver Penny Hart and cornerback Shakial Taylor on Friday. Both were waived-injured on Aug. 31.
After being waived-injured by the team at the roster cuts, the duo of undrafted rookies passed through waivers and was sitting on the team’s injured reserve list. With this injury settlement, Hart and Taylor have been removed from the IR list and may sign with any team.
Hart was signed following the 2019 draft out of Georgia State. His speed and elusiveness made him an intriguing player in the wide receiver battle. But a hamstring injury he suffered during the first week of training camp kept him off the field until the preseason finale where he fumbled to punt returns.
Taylor had a solid training camp and preseason with the Colts in what was a crowded cornerback room. He suffered an injury during the preseason finale against the Cincinnati Bengals on Aug. 29.
