Colts’ Player of the Game vs. Steelers: WR Zach Pascal

In a week of injuries, dropped passes, and inconsistent play all around, not many players shined on the road in Pittsburgh. With T.Y. Hilton out for this game, the Indianapolis Colts receiving corps needed someone to step up in a big way. Today, that was Zach Pascal.

Pascal continued his breakout 2019 campaign with five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. The score came just before halftime as Brian Hoyer tossed a ball over the middle to Pascal for the 14-yard touchdown.

Pascal had five catches on six targets and his longest catch of the day was for 19 yards. The majority of his targets also took place with backup quarterback Brian Hoyer, who may have to start next week of Brissett is unable to go after the latter suffered a knee injury during the second quarter.

Pascal has been emerging as a reliable option for whoever is under center for the Colts, and he continued his strong campaign as an unsung hero on Sunday.

The Colts now sit at 5-3 and fall behind into second place behind the 6-3 Houston Texans. Next week, they return home to Indy to face the one-win Miami Dolphins. A chance to rebound and get things back on track awaits.
