Colts’ player of the game vs. Raiders: LB Anthony Walker

The Indianapolis Colts struggled defensively in their 31-24 loss against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

An area that has been plaguing the Colts this season showed up yet again, especially when it came to stopping the run and defending the Raiders big tight end, Darren Waller.

Perhaps the biggest performance of the day came from linebacker Anthony Walker, who recorded 10 total tackles, one quarterback hit and one sack. He filled in at the WILL position again in the absence of Darius Leonard, who was out with a concussion for the second week in a row.

Walker, who has had to step up in the absence of Leonard, has commanded this defense the last two weeks and even has switched positions around in the young corps of linebackers.

The Colts struggled in the middle of the field on Sunday, but Walker was a bright spot for the most part.

Walker and Leonard are a deadly combination at linebacker and hopefully next week they can be reunited as the Colts travel to Kansas City for a Sunday night showdown with the Chiefs.
