Colts’ player of the game vs. Dolphins: RB Jonathan Taylor

The Indianapolis Colts finally got a taste of victory in Miami as they beat the Dolphins, 27-17, at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

Head coach Frank Reich came into the day wanting to do one thing, establish the run. The team did just that behind their stud second-year back Jonathan Taylor.

He finished the day with 103 yards on the ground and a touchdown. The Colts needed a boost in the second half and Taylor came out with a 38-yard scamper out of the gate. He didn’t look back and drove the Colts down the field on multiple possessions.

Taylor is starting to become not only the main option at running back, but also a leader of this offense. The Colts will need every part of his performance and then some next week, and then some, if they want to go down to Baltimore and get another win.

*Honorable mention for player of the game goes to Mo Alie-Cox who finished the day with two touchdown receptions. After a slow start to the season, it’s good to see him getting involved in the offense.
