The Indianapolis Colts placed wide receiver Devin Funchess on the injured reserve list due to a broken clavicle he suffered in Week 1, the team announced Tuesday.
Funchess suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of the Week 1 loss. He went up for a pass in the corner of the end zone and landed hard on his shoulder. He was immediately removed and ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Funchess had surgery on the broken collarbone and isn’t eligible to return until Week 10 at the earliest. He finished the game catching three of five targets for 32 yards.
The Colts didn’t announce a corresponding move on the 53-man roster, but it should be expected over the next few days.
