Colts’ Parris Campbell suffered hand injury vs. Steelers

The Indianapolis Colts (5-3) went into the Week 9 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4) with high hopes, but they left with a heartbreaking loss and a few significant injuries.

While quarterback Jacoby Brissett and center Ryan Kelly left the game early, rookie wide receiver Parris Campbell revealed he had x-rays on his hand following the game.

He didn’t say what the tests revealed, but there was some frustration with this latest injury.

The second-round pick had his best day since entering the NFL on Sunday. He caught all five of his targets for 53 yards while adding three carries for 27 yards on the ground.

The Colts are already down their star in T.Y. Hilton, who has a significant calf injury. With the struggles of Deon Cain, many were hoping that Campbell would begin to show some development as an impact player in the receiving corps.

It remains to be seen how significant Campbell’s injury is, but this has been a tough year for the rookie in that department.
