Colts’ Parris Campbell out several weeks with hand fracture

Indianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver suffered a hand fracture Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers and is expected to miss some time.

Head coach Frank Reich told the media in a conference call Monday that Campbell suffered the injury late in Sunday’s loss, but he’s not expected to go on the injured reserve at this point.

It has been a tough start for the Ohio State product. Campbell has missed significant time with other injuries including a hamstring and an abdomen that caused him to miss time during the first half of the season.

Campbell had his best game yet in Week 9, catching all five of his targets for 53 yards while also adding three carries for 27 yards.

As the second-round pick misses time with another injury, it gives Deon Cain another opportunity to make an impact on the roster.
