Colts’ Parris Campbell involved in minor car accident

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell was not at training camp practice Wednesday after he was involved in a minor car accident and is in the league’s concussion protocol.

The accident reportedly happened on Tuesday when the Colts had the day off following Monday’s scrimmage.

Campbell has been enjoying a strong start to training camp in which he has shown a solid rapport with veteran quarterback Philip Rivers. The slot wide receiver has been solidifying his role as potentially the second target behind T.Y. Hilton.

A second-round pick in 2019, Campbell was limited to just seven games during his rookie season after suffering through a myriad of injuries. Through his four injuries, three of them required surgery in 2019.

The Colts will be hoping that Campbell bounces back quickly from the concussion protocol, and this will certainly be a situation to monitor with the season just two weeks away.
