Colts’ Parris Campbell has chance to be activated in Week 18

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell has a chance to be activated from the injured reserve list ahead of the Week 18 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Campbell was designated to return from the injured reserve list last week but hasn’t yet been activated. He’s been practicing and while he’s looked good, it’s no guarantee he will play in Week 18.

That said, head coach Frank Reich is hopeful that Campbell gets activated ahead of the regular-season finale.

“I think Parris (Campbell) had a pretty good week. We’ll see how he responds after today,” Reich said. “We’ll get together as staff, talk it through and then I’ll get with Chris (Ballard) and we’ll make that decision here in the next 24 hours. I thought his week, I thought he had a good week, and we just need to see how he continues to respond.”

Campbell brings an element of speed to the offense that isn’t easy to replicate. They’ve been without him for the majority of the season after he suffered a foot injury on a 51-yard touchdown catch against the Houston Texans in Week 6.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens on Saturday but the Colts are hopeful to get their speedster back before the playoffs.
