Colts open as 6.5-point home favorites vs. Raiders

The Indianapolis Colts (2-1) are back home in Week 4 hosting the Oakland Raiders (1-2) for an afternoon matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.

Following their 27-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Colts have opened the new week as big favorites over the Raiders. In fact, the Colts are opening as 6.5-point home favorites over Oakland, per BetMGM.

The money line sits at -304 for the Colts and +240 for the Raiders while the total for the Week 4 matchup is currently at 44.5. With the Colts being 6.5-point favorites, the implied prediction from BetMGM is that Indy will take an easy 28-16 victory at home.

The Colts showed in Week 4 that they can hang with playoff-caliber teams. They’ve done so throughout the season with a close overtime loss against the Los Angeles Chargers and a win against the Tennessee Titans’ tough defense.

The loss of safety Malik Hooker will hurt the defense as he recovers from a torn meniscus, and the status of linebacker Darius Leonard is still up in the air with his concussion.

Even despite all this, the Colts are favored in the home matchup against a lowly Raiders team that is still dealing with issues of its own. They have started the season 1-2 after an impressive win over the Denver Broncos in Week 1.

The Colts have just two more games until their early bye in Week 6, and they will open this matchup has heavy favorites against the visiting Raiders.
