The Indianapolis Colts (4-2) will be looking to continue their winning ways with another home matchup against the Denver Broncos (2-5) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 8.
As the new week begins, the Colts are strong favorites in the home matchup. Coming off of impressive wins against the Kansas City Chiefs (Week 5) and Houston Texans (Week 7), the Colts are 5.5-point home favorites against the Broncos in Week 8, per BetMGM.
Being relatively strong favorites, the Colts and Broncos have a moderate total sitting at 43.5 points. Seeing as the Broncos have scored more than 16 points just twice, there is a chance this turns into a defensive battle.
The Colts are coming off of a home win against the Texans—one that put them in sole possession of first place in the AFC South. It came on the back of a career day for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who threw for 326 yards and four touchdowns.
Indy’s defense also stepped up to the challenge by forcing two late turnovers and keep the Texans from scoring in the red zone.
The Broncos defense hasn’t lived up to the hype this season even if they are getting better. The offense sputters at times under Joe Flacco, but the rushing attack is something the defense will key on.
It will be interesting to see if the line shifts at all throughout the week, but the Colts will be strong home favorites to begin with.
