Colts open as 3.5-point underdogs vs. Buccaneers

The Indianapolis Colts (6-6) aren’t officially eliminated from playoff contention even though that appears to be the direction they are heading, and they now have to turn their attention to the Week 14 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-7).

As the new week gets underway and the Colts try to figure out everything that led to their 10-point collapse in the second half of the 31-17 loss against the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, they will open the week as underdogs.

Against the Bucs and a familiar face in Bruce Arians, the Colts open the week as 3.5-point road underdogs, per BetMGM.

Losing four of the last five games will do this. Even against one of the most unpredictable teams in the Bucs, the Colts are on a slippery slope that has much of the fanbase already looking toward the draft and free agency for the upcoming offseason.

Vegas does appear to be expecting a high-scoring affair in Tampa with the total sitting at 49.5 points—currently tied for the highest total of the week from BetMGM.

While the Colts have been in a rut over the last month, the Bucs have been enjoying some success. They are winners in three of their last four and have averaged 27.5 points per game over that span. The Colts, on the other hand, have averaged 19.8 points per game in that same timeframe.

The season appears to have come crashing down for the Colts, and they open the week as underdogs on the road in their preparation for a trip to Raymond James Stadium.
