Colts offense sputtering at halftime vs. Broncos

The Indianapolis Colts trail the Denver Broncos, 6-3, at halftime in the Week 8 matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium.

While the defense has done its job against a lowly Broncos offense, the Colts offense has struggled mightily. They’ve mustered just three points—which came just before the half—and they’ve gained just 130 total yards of offense.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has struggled for most of the day. He’s been uncomfortable for the majority of the first half. He’s completed just seven of 11 passes for 73 yards.

The run game has struggled as well. The front seven for the Broncos has dominated the first half holding the Colts offense to just 49 rushing yards on 11 carries from the running backs.

The wide receivers have combined for one catch on just three targets for seven receiving yards during the first half.

We knew it was going to be a tough matchup against the Broncos defense, but the Colts offense must get it going in the second half while this game is still within reach.
