Colts not listed among teams at Colin Kaepernick’s workout

As he tries to make his way back into the NFL, Colin Kaepernick held a public workout at an Atlanta area high school on Saturday afternoon, but it appears the Indianapolis Colts weren’t in attendance.

While the original workout was meant to be held at the Atlanta Falcons training complex in Flowery Branch, it was moved to Riverdale, Ga. on the day of the workout.

There were eight teams that attended the public workout, and the Colts reportedly weren’t one of them, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Nor were the Colts listed among the teams sent by Jeff Nalley—Kaepernick’s agent—to ESPN.

The change in venue interrupted schedules for many of the 25 teams that were scheduled to watch Kaepernick at the original site, but Kaepernick still threw in front of representatives from eight teams, according to Nalley, among them the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans.

The workout was streamed live on Youtube. Kaepernick showed he still has an extremely strong arm and the tools to warrant interest as a backup quarterback at the least. Though it isn’t clear if teams have enough interest to sign him—or if Kaepernick is willing to take a backup role.

That may have changed after Saturday’s workout but it isn’t immediately clear if that is the case.

Regardless, it isn’t likely the Colts take a flier on Kaepernick as they currently have a quarterback room that consists of Jacoby Brissett, Brian Hoyer and Chad Kelly.
