Colts’ Mike Groh interviewed for Panthers OC job

Indianapolis Colts wide receivers coach Mike Groh was interviewed by the Carolina Panthers for their vacant offensive coordinator job, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Though the Panthers retained head coach Matt Rhule, they did part ways with offensive coordinator Joe Brady during the season. In their search for a new offensive coordinator to work under Rhule, Groh was one of the candidates to get an interview in Charlotte.

Groh has been with the Colts for two seasons now. He joined Frank Reich’s staff as wide receivers coach after spending two seasons (2018-2019) as the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles where he was also the wide receivers coach in 2017.

Groh has been in the NFL since 2011, mostly holding the same role. He was the wide receivers coach for three seasons with the Chicago Bears (2013-2015) while also serving as the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach for the Los Angeles Rams in 2016,
