Colts met with TE Jace Sternberger at NFL combine

The Indianapolis Colts don’t have a need at the tight end position per say, but that didn’t stop them from meeting with a potential draft prospect in Jace Sternberger at the NFL combine.

Even having the best tight end room in the NFL, the Colts will be looking at the position in the draft. They’ve also had multiple meetings with Sternberger, per Jared Tokarz.

At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, Sternberger played 13 games in 2018 while recording 48 receptions for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 17.3 yards per reception.

Sternberger is the eighth-best tight end in this year’s class, according to Draft Wire’s rankings.

The Colts already have Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron and Mo Alie-Cox, but they are always looking to stockpile talent even if it is a position of strength.
