Colts’ Matt Pryor to start at LT if Eric Fisher doesn’t play

Indianapolis Colts left tackle Eric Fisher is listed as questionable for the regular-season home finale on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Due to knee, shoulder and toe injuries, Fisher wasn’t able to log any type of practice throughout the entire week. He did some work on the side on Friday but didn’t participate in any individual or team drills.

Head coach Frank Reich told the media Friday that if Fisher can’t play due to the injuries, the Colts would have to decide between Matt Pryor and Julién Davenport. After trying to keep his plans close to the chest, Reich said it would be Pryor who gets the call.

“That would be the decision that would have to be made,” Reich said laughing. “Okay Joel (Erickson), it will be (Matt) Pryor. It’s not that big of a deal. I’m sorry, it’s Pryor.”

Pryor has worked all over the offensive line for the Colts, mostly on the right side. He’s played some reps at right tackle and right guard so he has experience working with the unit.

Playing the blindside will be a bit different going against two strong edge rushers in Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue.

The Colts should have the majority of their offensive line back all three players expected to return from the COVID-19 list (two already have) while center Ryan Kelly made his return this week following a personal tragedy.
