Colts’ Luke Rhodes signs ERFA tender

Indianapolis Colts long snapper Luke Rhodes has signed his exclusive rights free agent tender, the team announced Tuesday.

The team applied the tender to Rhodes before the start of the new league year on March 13. With the tender being signed, Rhodes returns on a one-year deal worth $645,000 in base salary.

Rhodes converted from linebacker to long snapper before the 2017 season after the team cut Matt Overton following the NFL Draft that offseason. The 26-year-old has made the transition seamlessly while becoming an integral part of the special teams unit.

Rhodes has been an underrated piece to the special teams unit since converting to long snapper and will continue to do so entering his fourth professional season.
