Colts’ Justin Houston expected to play vs. Texans

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Justin Houston popped up on the injury report late in the week and while he is questionable for the Week 7 matchup against the Houston Texans, he is expected to play Sunday.

Dealing with a tweaked calf, Houston wasn’t able to practice on either Thursday or Friday as the Colts prepared to host the division leaders. He was given a questionable designation on the official injury report entering the weekend but is expected to play, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Colts are already going to be without second-year defensive end Kemoko Turay, who suffered a broken ankle during the Week 5 win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite the calf injury, Houston should have a solid matchup that could allow him to produce for the Colts. With Texans starting right tackle Tytus Howard ruled out for the contest, the veteran Houston will have plenty of opportunities to get into the backfield.

The Colts will officially announce their inactives list an hour and a half before the game, but it appears Houston won’t be on it—barring any setbacks.
