Colts’ Javon Patterson tore ACL, will miss rookie season

Indianapolis Colts rookie center/guard Javon Patterson suffered a torn ACL during Tuesday’s OTA practice session and will miss the 2019 season, head coach Frank Reich told reporters.

Patterson was selected by the Colts in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft as one of two offensive linemen taken in that round.

The Colts offensive line has its starters set up front, but Patterson was thought to be competing for one of the depth spots on the interior offensive line both at center behind Ryan Kelly and at the guard positions.

Patterson went to Ole Miss where he made 42 starts and a string of 36 consecutive starts during his career.
