Colts’ Jacoby Brissett downgraded to out vs. Dolphins

The Indianapolis Colts downgraded quarterback Jacoby Brissett from questionable to out for Week 10 against the Dolphins due to a knee sprain, the team announced Saturday.

He had practiced all week in a limited fashion after suffering the sprain against the Steelers.

The fourth-year quarterback said he was feeling better as the week progressed, but head coach Frank Reich said Brissett would be a game-time decision. He was ruled out the day before the game without having a chance to test it.

In the meantime, veteran backup Brian Hoyer will get the start, while Chad Kelly has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. He will serve as the backup to Hoyer.

The Colts also announced that cornerback Pierre Desir has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful with a hamstring injury.
