The Indianapolis Colts hosted free agent defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth on a visit Saturday, first reported by Joel A. Erickson of Indy Star.
The interior defensive line for the Colts isn’t a position of major need after the acquisition of DeForest Buckner this offseason, but Chris Ballard is constantly on the lookout for players to add to the roster.
Stallworth, 24, was an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina who signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2018. In two seasons, he appeared in 18 games while recording one sack and one tackle for loss. He was waived by the Saints on Monday.
The Colts can’t work players out because of restrictions from COVID-19, but this will be one to keep an eye on if they wind up bringing in more competition for the interior defensive line.
