Colts hold No. 13 pick in 2020 NFL Draft

The season is officially over for the Indianapolis Colts (7-9), who will now turn their attention to the offseason and the 2020 NFL Draft. Their first-round pick has now been set.

With their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Colts will now be selecting from the No. 13 pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

After starting the season 5-2 and looking like a potential playoff team, the Colts crumbled incredibly during the second half. They lost seven of their final nine games to end the season, finishing third in the division.

Though free agency will have a hand in what direction the Colts go during the draft, there are plenty of areas they could address with that pick. The most exciting avenue would be to see the Colts trade the Nos. 13 and 34 (officially from the Redskins) to move up for a quarterback potentially.

However, we know how much Chris Ballard values his draft picks and how much they love Jacoby Brissett. That could steer them away from a quarterback in the draft entirely.

But most would agree that Brissett isn’t the long-term answer and that the Colts must begin addressing the future of the position.

The Colts also need to look at adding to the wide receiver position, the interior defensive line and even some of the secondary at the cornerback position.

Regardless, the Colts have a busy offseason ahead and will be able to address plenty of needs with a top-15 pick in the upcoming draft.
