Colts held tryout for DE Da’Shawn Hand

The Indianapolis Colts held a tryout for defensive end Da’Shawn Hand on Monday, per the league’s transaction wire.

Hand, 26, was a fourth-round pick with the Detroit Lions in the 2018 NFL draft. The Alabama product was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2018 when he had 3.0 sacks and four tackles for loss in 13 games (eight starts).

Hand then played in just three games during the 2019 season while dealing with various injuries and appeared in 10 games during the 2020 season. He was released by the Lions on Nov. 30 after appearing in just three games thus far in 2021.

In 29 career games (11 starts), Hand has recorded 54 tackles (39 solo), 3.0 sacks and six tackles for loss.
