The Indianapolis Colts are likely to be favorites in the AFC South for the 2019 season, but that doesn’t mean it will be an easy ride.
As head coach Frank Reich enters his second season commanding the group, the Colts will be faced with the seventh-toughest strength of schedule in 2019, per CBS Sports.
The Colts’ future opponents combined for a record of 132-123-1, which is a winning percentage of .518. The Colts are tied with the Atlanta Falcons for the seventh-toughest schedule in 2019.
The AFC South seems to have a tough schedule ahead as the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 3), Houston Texans (No. 4) and Tennessee Titans (No. 9) all have extremely difficult schedules.
The Colts surprised the entire NFL in 2018 en route to a wild-card berth and reaching the divisional round of the AFC playoffs. They benefitted from a light schedule in the second half, but the return of quarterback Andrew Luck in addition to the play of the defense helped pave the way.
The Colts already know their opponents for the upcoming season, but the schedule won’t be announced until April.
