Colts fear Tyquan Lewis suffered season-ending knee injury

The Indianapolis Colts fear defensive lineman Tyquan Lewis will miss the reminder of the season due to a knee injury he suffered against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, per Mike Chappell of Fox59.

Lewis injured his knee on an interception return in the second quarter. After catching the errant pass from Ryan Tannehill, Lewis hit the ground with an apparent non-contact injury. He was carted off the field and immediately ruled out for the rest of the game.

Lewis was having a solid season and given that he’s a free agent after the regular season is over, there was a chance he may have been in consideration to be re-signed.

However, if the knee injury is significant enough to keep Lewis out for the rest of the season, there’s a more-than-likely chance he hits the market in free agency.

With Lewis out, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Colts lean more on rookie Dayo Odeyingbo, who made his debut on Sunday. They fit similar molds as versatile defenders along the defensive line, and the Colts have been very excited about the prospects of Odeyingbo’s game.

Hopefully, Lewis has a clean and speedy recovery, but it appears his season may be done.
