Colts fear OT Le’Raven Clark has torn Achilles

Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle Le’Raven Clark suffered an ankle injury on Sunday against the Houston Texans and preliminary tests show he may have a torn Achilles.

Clark left the game on the offense’s first drive and couldn’t put any weight on his left ankle. He was carted off the field and quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game.

The Colts fear that Clark has a torn Achilles and will undergo an MRI on Monday morning to confirm.

Clark was the backup to starter Anthony Castonzo, who is dealing with an MCL sprain. While Castonzo could return this week for the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, he didn’t log a practice at all last week so his status is certainly in doubt.

With Clark looking at a season-ending injury and with Castonzo potentially missing the Week 14 game against the Raiders, the Colts will be leaning on Chaz Green to man the blindside.

Clark was a third-round pick with the Colts in 2016 and signed a one-year deal this offseason. He will be a free agent when the new league year begins in March.
