Colts’ Evan Boehm signed RFA tender

Indianapolis Colts center/guard Evan Boehm signed his restricted free agent tender, the team announced Monday.

Boehm was the only tendered free agent left yet to sign the offer sheet extended to him from the Colts. Having signed the tender, Boehm, along with safety Matthias Farley and wide receiver Chester Rogers, are officially returning for the 2019 season.

The Colts signed Boehm to the active roster from the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad on Oct. 9, 2018. As a reserve interior offensive lineman, Boehm played 11 games and made four starts during the 2018 season.

The 25-year-old provided solid depth behind starting center Ryan Kelly and even filled in at right guard when starter Mark Glowinski dealt with injury during the second half of the season.

The Colts are still likely to add some depth to the offensive line during the 2019 NFL Draft, which begins Thursday, but Boehm should provide some solid help if needed.
