Colts’ Eric Ebron underwent offseason procedure

Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron had an incredible bounce-back season in 2018 leading his position in touchdown receptions, but it seems he did so without being fully healthy.

Ebron, who was often on the injury report throughout the season, tweeted Thursday that he had a “procedure” to correct an unknown injury. He then suggested his 2018 season was one where he wasn’t fully healthy.

It isn’t at all clear what type of procedure Ebron went under this offseason nor is it clear what body part he had the procedure on. However, he did deal with several injuries throughout the season often times needing a day of rest during the middle of the week.

Ebron instantly became an impact player for Colts and truly took off after replacing the injured Jack Doyle. The former first-round pick caught 66 passes for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns.

There haven’t been any reports about a timetable for recovery, but it appears Ebron believes he will be entering the 2019 season with a clean bill of health.
