Colts’ Eric Ebron among four 2018 free agents to make Pro Bowl

Each offseason, teams hope to find a player in free agency that can have an immediate impact. The Indianapolis Colts found that in tight end Eric Ebron, who had a career revival in 2018.

Thought of as a bust during his time with the Detroit Lions, Ebron broke out with the Colts while becoming one of just four free agents from the 2018 season to earn a Pro Bowl selection.

After signing his two-year deal with the Colts last offseason, Ebron became a touchdown machine. His 13 touchdown receptions were the most among tight ends and the second-most in the NFL.

Colts head coach Frank Reich proved he could find ways to maximize Ebron’s talents in the high-volume offense that scored the fifth-most points per game in the NFL.

Ebron still has a year left on his contract, but he thrived with the Colts in his first year earning a Pro Bowl selection.
