Colts elevate S Rolan Milligan to active roster

The Indianapolis Colts elevated safety Rolan Milligan to the active roster from the practice squad and signed running back Bruce Anderson to the practice squad, the team announced Wednesday.

With the Colts officially putting wide receiver Devin Funchess on the injured reserve list due to a broken collarbone, a spot opened up on the roster. Milligan was with the Colts all offseason and preseason but was cut on Sept. 2. He was signed to the practice squad a few days later.

Anderson was an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State. He signed with the Tampa Buccaneers following the draft but was waived on Aug. 31 during the roster cuts.

During his collegiate career, Anderson took 486 carries for 2,896 yards and 24 touchdowns while also recording 32 receptions for 448 yards and seven touchdowns.
