Colts’ DeForest Buckner (hand) returns to practice

After getting a few days off from practice dealing with a hand injury, Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was seen back on the field Saturday at training camp.

Buckner had been dealing with a hand injury and the Colts wanted to be cautious about rushing him back to practice. But it appears the 26-year-old is ready to return.

There have been several Colts dealing with injuries, including a number of starters. While defensive lineman Denico Autry also returned on Saturday from an ankle injury, tight end Jack Doyle (neck) and right tackle Braden Smith (foot) continue to miss practice.

The Colts are preparing for their regular-season opener on Sept. 13 against the Jaguars and they would surely like it if Buckner was wreaking havoc in the middle of the defensive line.

It appears he’s healthy and will be something to monitor as training camp continues to progress.
