Colts’ Darius Leonard (concussion) says he’s cleared to play

The Indianapolis Colts have yet to make an official word on the matter, but linebacker Darius Leonard posted to his Instagram that he’s been cleared to practice out of the league’s concussion protocol.

Leonard has missed the last three games for the Colts due to the concussion and while it appeared he was set to make his return in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs, he failed to clear the protocol in time to play.

The Colts defense showed out in the primetime matchup against the Chiefs, holding the explosive offensive unit to just 13 points—the fewest since Patrick Mahoes took over as the starter.

There hasn’t been an announcement from the Colts so it isn’t official until that happens, but it appears Leonard will be ready to return coming out of the bye week.
