Colts’ Clayton Geathers had ‘clean up procedure’ on knee

As it has been throughout the majority of his career, Indianapolis Colts safety Clayton Geathers is being held out of organized team activities after undergoing a “clean up procedure” on his knee this offseason.

Geathers has been bothered by a knee issue for the better part of a year. He underwent a knee procedure following the 2017 season and wound up missing the entirety of the offseason training program as well as the majority of training camp.

While Geathers is immensely talented and a great fit for the Colts defense, the UCF product has constantly been hindered by his inability to stay on the field.

This was the biggest factor to Geathers having a small market in free agency, in which he eventually re-signed with the Colts on an extremely cheap one-year deal.

It isn’t clear if Geathers will return at all this spring, but the reason why is now clear.
