Colts claim RB D’Onta Foreman from Texans

The Indianapolis Colts claimed running back D’Onta Foreman off of waivers from the Houston Texans and waived running back Keith Ford, the team announced Monday.

After Foreman was waived by the Texans on Sunday morning, it was reported that the team made the move due to poor ethic. It seems the Colts feel they can change that with the current state of the locker room and are taking a chance on the Texas product.

Foreman was a third-round pick with the Texans in the 2017 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, Foreman tore his Achilles while scoring a touchdown in Week 11.

He would work his way back and eventually get activated in December 2018. Though he had a chance to begin stealing snaps from Lamar Miller, the Texans waived him due to work ethic concerns.

In 11 career games, Foreman has taken 85 carries for 326 yards and two touchdowns. He joins a running back corps currently comprised of Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins and Jonathan Williams.
