Colts begin offseason training program

The Indianapolis Colts officially begin their offseason training program Monday starting Phase 1 of the nine-week schedule.

The offseason seems to be flying by as the Colts are already through the main portion of free agency. The 2019 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and the beginning of the workouts is just another mile-marker to pass on the road to playing actual football.

During Phase 1 of the offseason training program, the Colts won’t be doing any on-field activities with coaches. This time is solely for working out and doing rehab. Coaches are only allowed to teach in the meeting rooms.

Despite many familiar faces returning to the locker room, there will be plenty to watch for over the next month and a half. How will Devin Funchess fit in the wide receiver room? How will Justin Houston be used?

None of these questions will truly get answered during the spring, but some trends will begin taking place.

The Colts still have a bulk of the offseason to look forward to, but the offseason training program officially begins Monday, bringing us another step closer to watching football.
