Colts are projected to top Texans for AFC South title

The Houston Texans will fail to post double-digit wins and the Indianapolis Colts will reclaim the AFC South for the first time since 2014.

According to a recent ESPN report, CG Technology released a their win totals for all 32 NFL teams on March 31. In their predictions, the Colts come out of the regular season with 9.5 wins while the Texans are stuck in the middle of the division with the Tennessee Titans at 8.5 wins.

It is understandable why there is a hype training delivering pleasant Colts predictions. After all, they have quarterback Andrew Luck back to normal and gave him receiver Devin Funchess to throw to and outside linebacker Justin Houston to rush opposing quarterbacks. Meanwhile, the Texans lost safety Tyrann Mathieu, broke even with the loss of defensive back Kareem Jackson and the signing of Denver Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby, but ultimately didn’t adequately address the offensive line.

However, the problem with such projections is they don’t take into account the NFL draft. The Texans still have another critical part of the offseason where they can fix whatever problems bother them. After April, such projections start to take more shape.
